1. General Admission

Book your general admission tickets to Nottingham Castle here

All general admission tickets also now give you an annual pass meaning you come back for free for the next 12 months. Purchase your ticket online and we'll issue your pass at the Visitor Centre when you arrive.

Nottingham residents living in a Nottingham postcode district of NG1 to NG16 can also book discounted tickets here.

IMPORTANT - Proof of residence will be required on arrival at the Castle

Please note: This ticket does not include entry to the Castle Cave Tours - Tickets must be purchased separately.

The entry time for your General Admission ticket must be before your entry time for the Castle Cave Tours.

Please note: There may be a special event taking place on site when you visit the Castle, such as a live re-enactment, which is included in your general admission ticket. To find out when these events are, visit the What's On page on the Nottingham Castle website and look out for the 'Included in General Admission'events.

2. Castle Caves - Underground Adventure

A 25 minute tour exploring the foundations of the medieval castle from dire dungeons to wondrous wine cellars hear the stories of Nottingham during the time of Robin Hood and in the underground spaces where they actually happened!

The tour is suitable for families and young children.

It covers a distance of approximately 120 steps of varying steepness and regularities with a handrail. Some of the ground underfoot is uneven. Lighting levels are low.


3. Annual Pass Holders - Free Return Visit

Please select the number of adult and child tickets you require and ensure that you bring your Annual Pass with you on the day of your visit.

We will only be able to permit free entrance to visitors covered by your Annual Pass.

4. Yoga at the Castle - August 2022

Thursday 4 August, Thursday 11 August, Thursday 18 August and Thursday 25 August, 6.30pm - 7.30pm.

Suitable for all levels, including beginners to experienced students. The sessions focus on mindful yoga postures, simple meditation, guided breathwork, and relaxation. Taking place in our green spaces and against the stunning backdrop of the Ducal Palace, join us for mindful relaxation in the great outdoors.

Jasminder creates a supportive learning environment, encouraging students to develop their practice, and helping in deepening their understanding of Yoga. She believes Yoga is accessible to everyone, and adapts classes for different learning styles, offering suitable options for each student.

Please book in advance online through Nottingham Castle. The fees are tiered ?5 or ?10 per person - pick an option which suits your budget.

5. Much Ado About Nothing - 27th August 2022

There's plenty to shout about in The Pantaloons' take on Shakespeare's timeless summer comedy of masks, music and mistaken identities! The boys are back from war and it?s time for celebration, but devious Don John plans to spoil everyone's fun with his perilous plots. Will young lovers Claudio and Hero fall foul of the crafty criminal? Will bickering Benedick and Beatrice ever admit that they actually like each other? Find out in this fast-paced, physical and funny new production!

6. Reggae at the Castle - Sat 10 Sept 2022

Nottingham Castle and 975 Kemet radio present Reggae at the Castle - A tribute to the Trojan and Studio One labels

The best vocal talents of our generation and the original artists sing Studio One and Trojan classics.

You will hear classic songs from Studio One recording stable and hits from the Trojan label Song book. Everybody attending the event will receive good vibes, great music which features some of the biggest hits in the history of Reggae.
